Sonia Shukla has more than a decade of experience in electric mobility, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable development. She has worked with several multi-lateral and donor organizations such as The World Bank, ADB, IFC GIZ, USAID, and other foundations. She is presently working with IIEC as senior project manager handling projects on energy efficiency and renewable energy in buildings. She has worked on development and implementation of innovative financial strategies for promotion of rooftop solar and energy efficiency projects. She worked with IFC to increase loan pipeline of energy efficiency projects for the partner financial institutes under PRGFEE scheme of Bureau of Energy Efficiency, India. She has assisted several private players in financial analysis of project CAPEX, business strategy formulation, assessment of state policies, and regulations on RE sector. She was also involved in developing unique and innovative DSM programmes under the Standard Offer Program framework and has carried out load research for several distribution utilities. She has worked with several Indian states under World Bank and ADB TA program for policy formulation and institutional capacity building on solar rooftop program.

Dr. B. Sengupta

Dr. B. Sengupta has 45 years of vast experience in the field of Air and Water Quality Management, Industrial Pollution Control, Standard Development (Ambient and Source specific), Environmental Impact Assessment Studies, Fuel Quality improvements, Clean Technology, Waste Minimization, Pollution Prevention issues, Pollution Control in large industries and SS units, Climate Change, Hazardous and Solid Waste Management. He is a former Member Secretary of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India where he was responsible for providing initiation! coordination/guidance to the technical activities in the field of pollution control. He has the experience of developing Emission/Effluent Standard for about 70 categories (all major polluting industries and SS! units) of industries for pollution control. These standards are evolved based and techno-economic viability and health studies and risk assessments. Also, developed Ambient Air Quality Standard and Water Quality Objectives based on health impact studies. In the past, he also worked in University of Florida, Gainesville, USA on air quality management and control.

Felix Gooneratne

Mr. Felix Gooneratne is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Energy; he holds his Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Wales, Cardiff, United Kingdom. He is an energy efficiency and Demand Side Management expert based in Melbourne, Australia. He has worked with IIEC as Asia Director in January 2001 and served as CEO from October 2013 to December 2018 With more than 40 years of experience advancing energy efficiency, demand-side management (DSM), and related international clean energy efforts, Felix brings forward reaching vision to programs. His proven technical expertise is design and implement innovative energy efficiency programs and achieve results. Felix has designed and implemented projects throughout the United Kingdom, Australia, Asia Africa, and the Pacific region ~ managing international teams to achieve significant energy savings. In the past, Felix held senior positions at PA Consulting Group, UNDP, Bechtel International, and the Australian Department of Energy. He has extensive project management experience with agencies such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, United Nations Development Program, USAID, AusAid, and the European Commission.
